Sunday Showcase

No. 13 - Brianna Lopez

We are so excited to present our first movement artist on the Sunday Showcase this week! Brianna Lopez’s improvisational dances, performed with complete control and fluidity, explore the rhythm of asking questions and discovering answers in everyday life. She is absolutely mesmerizing.

About the artist:

Brianna Lopez is a movement artist originally from California and now based in Tel Aviv. She holds an MFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah, where she researched methods of improvisation to compose dance compositions. She developed improvisational practices focusing on rhetorical questions explored through the body. Her research led her to move to Tel Aviv, where she trains in Gaga at Suzanne Dellal Centre for Dance and Theatre. She also collaborates with Israeli musicians in music videos and independent works, including Avi Perrodin, Yemima, Eldar Baruch, Irit Dekel, Yasmin Yakobi, and Gali Alon.

Alongside the magazine, Sunday Showcase provides additional opportunities for emerging artists and writers to share their work and gain exposure. There are no themes or deadlines, simply email us your best work for a chance to get featured across all of our channels. We accept writing of any genre and visual art of all mediums.
