ISSUE 04

Submission Deadline: June 01

Dear readers, artists, and writers! 

We are very excited to announce that Write-Haus is opening submissions for Issue 04 of our print magazine, which will be published in Summer 2024!

In departure from our past three issues, the upcoming Issue 04 will not have a set theme. Rather, we invite you to submit polished work, from the past or present, that emerged from your own artistic pursuits into any subject matter that compels you.

We see this as an opportunity for you to embrace the free and total lengths of your creativity, unguided by our prompts. What we design and curate for Issue 04 will be entirely derived from the content and connections we discover from within the work itself. From YOU. 

In such an unstable and tumultuous moment as this one, Write-Haus also feels that it’s not our role nor impulse to contain and limit art and writing to just one subject, aesthetic, or emotion. 

In the past, we have hoped to inspire you with our creative vision for our issues. Now, we kindly invite you to submit work that will inspire us. Together, we will create Issue 04. 

 

Submission Guidelines

Please read the following carefully before submitting your work in the form below. 

Note: All pieces of writing must be submitted in English. We welcome English translations of prose and poetry. Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but we ask that you inform us should your work be published elsewhere. We will not select previously published work for this issue. 

Poetry

Submit up to five poems. Poems should be single-spaced, in Times New Roman font, and in Microsoft Word or Google Docs, not PDF. If you are sending multiple poems, please include them in the same document. The name of your file should include your full name.

Prose

Submit up to three pieces of short fiction and/or personal essays. Prose should be double-spaced, Times New Roman font, and no longer than 3,000 words. Submit in Microsoft Word or Google Docs, not PDF. If you are sending multiple pieces of writing, please include them in the same document. The name of your file should include your full name.

Visual Art

Submit up to five pieces of visual art. We are accepting visual art of any medium. Please ensure all art pieces have an image quality of at least 300dpi with CMYK coloring. Only upload using a .TIF format to ensure maximum image quality. Images should be submitted at their full resolution to allow for proper sizing in the print issue. Please ensure all visual file names include your full name.
