Yaara Oren is an Israeli artist based in Tel Aviv. Her artistic practice focuses on painting and extends to ceramics and photography. Yaara graduated from the Hamidrasha School of Art with an Excellence in Art grant in 2009. She is the winner of the 2018 “Osnat Mozes Prize for a Young Painter.” In her works, Yaara aims to reflect parts of everyday reality, expressed by a subjective, internal experience. She views the painting medium as a language that she is constantly exploring and developing. In her paintings, Yaara traces the way a color “encounters” another, and the way lines intertwine with color blockings, while exploring different brush strokes.
