Adee Ardon is our Sunday Showcase this week! Through the use of oil pastels, Adee gives us a glimpse of her life in south Tel Aviv. Vibrant and colorful, her art highlights the beauty in the details of everyday life.
Adee Ardon is a painter from Tel Aviv. Most of her work is made with oil pastels, which she uses to create colorful still lifes and interior portraits. She draws inspiration from everyday Israeli life, often transforming views from her window or walks around her neighborhood in south Tel Aviv into bright and nostalgic compositions. Through her art, Adee attempts to make spectators pay attention to and think about specific — though seemingly mundane and insignificant — moments of time, and to help them observe the world in a more colorful and feeling way. She holds a degree from Shenkar College of Design, where she studied illustration.
